    ‘On-the road images’ from the expedition: Jones & (p)Hadley), the donkey, walking early morning, The Gambia, West Africa, 2009. Image: Florio-2009Early morning in the road with the one of our donkeys, (p)Hadley, whilst our other one, Neil, pulls the cart with the camera equipment and camping gear.     28th August 2010 - update We just got this message from Heather Armstrong on Facebook - founder of The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust who very kindly allowed is to take their beautiful little donkeys on the road with us. They were the stars of the expedition as we walked around the country…….kids loved them as did we! The Trust are doing amazing things to help rehabilitate and educate Gambians on how to best take care of their animals. Check out the link to their website by clicking on the image Heather Armstrong ” Jason and Helen completed their 930 kim walk using our donkeys, Neil, Paddy and Hadley. The donkeys were returned to us in magnificent condition and without a mark on them and perfectly demonstrated that with the correct harness and nutrition, the little Gambian donkeys are capable of great things. They were much cuddlier when they returned and Neil is being promoted to being the school bus donkey for our village nursery school. Huge congratulations to Jason for his recent and very prestigious award for his photography and big thanks to them both for taking such good care of our donkeys.”
